As a coastal resident, I have seen so many people like you doing so many things to help rebuild our coastal home, but THIS....this is amazing. To press yourself to a physical extreme of this nature! Prayers go with you from so many unseen faces as you not only make a difference, but also as you show the rest of the world that it's easy to give up, but it's not the wisest path. Keep blazing your path, our path, 26.2 miles at a time. You are doing a good thing!

It was so great meeting you and your family. I work at the Starbucks in Tallahassee and just as I found the card you gave me today - I saw the article on CNN.com. Hi Sam! My Dad was Carl Touchstone, an ultra runner in Gulfport and Laurel Mississippi who died of cancer 6 years ago. I know he would be so proud of you and would probably want to run a few miles with you for your cause. Thank you for doing this for the residents and people of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. You are truly an inspiration!
