Dear Wayne.
I had a good look at your faboules website. I am impressed. When I was a 18 year old kid I bought a simular model light 15. It had to be restored. I am originally from Holland and immigrated to Australia in 1980. Back in Holland it was about 1973 I bought the car together with a good school friend. The car was in 1000 bits. We spend months working on it to get it together. Fortunately the body had no rust in it. I remember as it was yesterday when we finally fired it up we drove it down the road we had not put the gearbox together properly (as it was also in bits) the selector shaft had an interlock which we must have overlooked. We changed the gear and the first gear did not disengage and the second gear engaged (on the other selector shaft) as soon as we let the clutch go the whole gearbox just blew to pieces. It was a big disappointment. It took us months to find another gearbox. We finally managed to get it going. It was a great car to drive. I still would like to have one some day. The dutch have a good club even back in 1973 reproduction manuals where available.
The car was of a very advanced design when it came out in the early 30ties. You probably know that any way. I have to remind you that the gearbox in these cars where a well known weak spot. Keep that in mind. Drive it gently and change gears with a passion.
You will have many years of pleasant driving with your citroen. If you know one for sale let me know! hcfhendriksen@hyrock.com.au

Hi Wayne,
I have been lusting after a Light 15 since I was a kid but never seriously or actively sought one until now.
Searching the Net I came across your project through Google.
I am not a restorer but I can see you are doing a thorough and professional job. Are you planning to keep it once finished ? Are there many Light 15s in Oz ?
I am looking in UK (home) for a restored car and seeing the images of your progress has certainly opened my eyes to some of the things I should look out for should I ever find one. You are showing people areas of the vehicle they would never get to see during a regular visual inspection.
All the best in your endeavours - from what I have seen it will be a wonderful result !

You seem to be doing a brilliant job. Keep it up. Mine was a Big 6 H but I had to let it go some years ago to buy a more reliable family car! (XM Estate)

Dear Folks
I have acquired a 1949 Slough Light 15 from a paddock in Central NSW for $300.00! The key is still in the ignition. The leatherwork of door panels and seats are still in place, but require leather dressing badly. Can you advise a suitable dressing. I would like to restore the Slough vehicle completely from ground basics. Could we keep in touch?
Sincerely,
Jeremy Spencer
