"I wonder why some are chosen to leave so soon. Then I remember who has left, and I know God must have wanted them home because he missed them."
I still cry when I think of the day I watched towers come down. But, I no longer cry because of those we lost, but because we haven't lost the hate that causes the horrible acts like those that destroy hope and understanding.
In everything I do now I always ask who will benefit. It is always my sincere hope that it will be the children, both young and old. That what I do will bring understand that the differences that separate us are never greater than the common bounds of our humanity.
With Love and Understanding,

Thanks for the site!....I knew John Keohane and Mike Lyons.....the sadness lingers, but I'm happy to see them remembered here.....I can't help but think that wouldn't it be grand if we didn't have to identify these unfortunate people as GAY heroes/victims?
I look forward to the day when we need not feel it necessary to identify one's sexual orientation when referring to one's accomplishments or situation...These poor souls were just as unfortunate as their heterosexual counterparts...their sexuality, albeit significant given our times, should be of no one's concern but their own...

Thank you thank you thank you for the page, it really makes me feel a
little
bit happy (although the 9-11 is a date of great sadness for me) that
somebody tries to remember the victims of 9-11 that many would like to
forget
because they are not like their so-called "normality"..... but all time
in the
world wouldn't let them change their oppinion.
Well, I don't know much to say.... but, to say the truth, after one
year
it's still not easy to live with the many victims of 9-11 dor me....
and I hope
that not so many people will forget the victims when they think of
revenge.

concerning the GLBT community and the 9/11 attacks was a site that brought me many different feelings, a lesbian myself, it gave me a sense of closure knowing that someone was finally reconizing the GLBT commuity that was affected with the 9/11 attack. But it also sadden me, because it was the first time that I have heard 9/11 refered to as a "Punishment for Queers" But I thank you for taking the time to make the website.

Since the appauling events of September 11th, I had felt shock, sorrow, hate, fear, loathing, depression, along with a whole host of emotions.
I have not cired for over ten years... till I read your site today.
God Bless all who face life without their loved ones by their side.
God Bless all those who fight aginst the barbaric demons who cause such pain and suffering.
God Bless all those who strive to reshape our World in the memory of those we have lost.
And God Rest all those who we remember every minute of every day.
