An informative site. As a caver in the early sixties,I am impressed that the sport to-day is more organised.I cut my caving teeth in the Yew Tree Cave at Pleasley Vale. Best Regards.

wanting to enter the speleo world again. I am an old codger from 1963-69, with SUSS and DCRO. Was Librarian of DCA too!
Anyone who remembers me or SUSSites, please drop me a line.
I cannot SRT at present - is this a huge drawback?

I was caving with SUSS 1967-mid 80's.
Still very keen hill walker in Peak and elsewhere... walk leader for HF Holidays.
Still interested in caving scene, glad to see it's so active!

I used to be a member of the Darfur pothole club, remember caving in derbys and trips to yorkshire with Tim Pendleton, John Sefton, Martin, Andy and the rest. Now trying to find clubs in Florida.

Useful site, especially for non-members of DCA to keep up to date with new developments.

A very useful site. I have a copy of your original "Caves of Derbyshire". I'm an ex-RAF Navigator(120 Sqn) and I was on the RAF Kinloss MRT. Active caver in the Castleton area, including Perryfoot, Giant's Hole, Suicide Mine, etc. Interested to hear of the recent sale of Giant's. Has the DCA negotiated access priveleges with the new owner? I must try "Sidetrack" on my next visit.

Hi good to catch up with the Derbyshire scene again. My Father is David Whitehouse, who helped to open up Hope Shaft in 1980. Does anyone have any archive material about this? Iseem to recall reading about it in a DCA newsletter.
Cheers.
