Dear Theresa, Thank you so much for adding my sister, Judi (Burch) Iden Short, class of 67, to your list. She was born in 1949 and died of cancer in 1993. She was 43. My mother, Ruth Hart, was director of food services for the BUSD for a number of years. I moved to Needles from Riverside 10 years ago to help my sister take care of our parents, who have since passed away. Mom died in August 1998. I'd like to see her added to the faculty memorial pages - Ruth Hart 1921-1998. I graduated in 1966 and also worked at the "new" Kennedy HS the first year it was open, so I do remember a lot of the people. Thank you for all the hard work on this site, it's sad to see how many are gone now.

Apparently I have offended some people with a posting I made July 29, 2002. I didn't realize this was a web site for former Aztecs/Riffians who had passed away. My posting was to say "Hi" to the class of '82 and that I'm doing great. I apologize for sharing my status on a web site meant for lost loved ones. I never intended to be rude or inconsiderate. Although I don't think my posting was something to get worked up over, some people were upset and I am sorry. But seriously those mentioned need to lighten up.

Thank you for creating this website. It has brought a lot of reality home. I truly miss the wonderful friends I had as a Barstow High School Aztec. My children are now in high school and my memories of fun,laughter,crisis and tears at BHS are shared regularly with them. God bless the ones who have gone before us and may we always cherish every day we open our eyes to another chance and another day to truly live.
