Very recently, you misunderstood some things I had written to you on another website. I just want you to know that I never intended any harm - I was only trying to help you. I have read your online journal a little bit and I feel like I understand you better now. And by the way, it takes real courage to open your heart to the world as you have with your journal. It was not too long ago that I was a gifted teenager, myself. I was very confused and hard on myself, and very emotional. And I swear, I would not want to re-live that time of my life for anything! It does get better. I hope to hear much about your success in music in the years to come - but I really wanted to tell you that the very most important thing is happiness. I wanted to let you know that you have it in you to be truly happy, Adele. But happiness does not come from success - it is a simple state of mind, an attitude. You have to learn it like anything else. You won't always feel the ways you do now. There is always hope. Sincere best wishes to you.

Hey, Adele! We're great fans of yours! We're hoping to hear your next concert online! I wish you'd hurry up and come out with a C.D. (lol)! :) You're totally mad. It's wicked, the way you sing! We hope to be just as charismatic as you seem to be!
Ciao!

I found this site when I was searching
for downloads of Renee Fleming and was
delighted. I am a 14 year old lyric
mezzo soprano (in eighth grade), and it
is always inspiring to see that I am not
alone in my passion for classical music
(ie I'm not the lone "opera freak.")
Please email me if you get the chance-
it would be very fun to keep an email
correspondence.
ps Have you ever considered doing any
baroque repertoire, because I saw how
much you love Kathleen Battle. Her
baroque CD W/ Wynton Marsalis is
stellar. I do a lot of Handel and French
opera, etc. and you say that yours is a
lyric

Adele, I love your group... have been reading your journal almost every day for a while now and always enjoy it! I hope you are feeling better about things soon, particularly the possible teacher change. I love your singing, also... wish I'd sounded like that at your age!

Tell Vonna to continue the excellent work with your beautiful voice. It was great going to Chicago to see your favorite soprano, Renee Fleming in "Thais", as well as a thrill meeting her after the opera.
Just think--one day I will be sitting in that very same opera house telling everyone that the person singing "Tosca" is my daughter! Your mother is looking down on you and saying how happy she is that you are following in her foot steps to become an amazing opera star.
I know you will go far in your singing. Never let anyone bring you down. I'm not saying that they have, I'm just saying that if someone trys to don't allow them to get any further then "trying".
If people "dislike your singing" it is because you sing well. Too well for anyone your age. Just know that I am always your hugest supporter!
Love always,
Dad
