Reported aboard Nov 63 and spent 2 1/2 years on the best cruiser in town. Would steam again anytime anyplace with REEVES and her crew. Extremely sorry to hear of her demise, but at least she won't be turned into razor blades like so any fine ships. "Give me a tall ship and a star to steer her by".

I'm very proud to have served aboard the warship Reeves from Mar 91-Nov-93. I was a BT2 at the time earning my surface warfare aboard the finest cruiser in the Navy. I was the LPO for the #1 Fireroom and before decm I earned my EOOW quals as a 2nd Class. I have to say that was the best tour of duty I've had until today. Proud to see old shipmates still out there knowing they were proud of WARSHIP Reeves.

IC3/2 1984 -1986. Bass Player for "Steel Beach". To EM2 Mansfield: I still haven't forgotten the twenty bucks you loaned me before I shipped out. I think I just conveniently had a short term loss of memory. Sorry about that!

Served on the mighty warship REEVES from Jul 86 to Sep 89. Truly, one of my most memorable duty stations. All the best to all REEVES Sailors.

I was an ETR2 on the Reeves for a couple of months in 1975. I was probably the worst sailor ever to serve on her, but she will always occupy a special place in my heart. I was really sad to hear of her fate, because I'd always hoped to see her again, but she died as a warship should, under fire. To her, and all the dedicated men who served on her through her lifetime, I salute you.

I served on the Reeves from Mar. '91 until Nov. '93. I was a CW02, SMMO, Elec Off, and finally MPA before she was Decomm. Two Turnin, Two Burnin, Fires in the Box, Water in the Glass. I know of a couple guys here that were on the Reeves and we would all like to see a reunion. If we can help get one set up e-mail me. Great job on the web page. Ironmen of the Reeves Rule. Does anyone remember our Break-away song?

Served onboard from 1987-1990 as a Radar ET. Definately a great crew and a great tour. Enjoyed WESTPAC so much I haven't left yet...currently serving onboard USS Kitty Hawk CV-63.
