Served onboard from 87-90. Was there for "Ernest Will" and the bomb hit. Best command I ever served at, with the best crew I've ever known. So far the ONLY command where the word "Shipmate" actually applied. Capt. Center was the BEST!

I was only on the Reeves from about December 65 till April 66. I came to the Reeves from FTB C School Dam Neck, and should have went to a FBM Submarine. I worked for John Billington with the target designation and tracking equipment. As a qualified submariner, I was pretty nervous about serving in a "skimmer" (or target, as we prefer), but all onboard made me welcome. It was one of the best (although short) times of my time spent in the Navy. The CO was Capt. Wentworth, and he was top notch as far as I'm concerned.

Served on board from 1967 through the decommissioning at Bath, Maine. The trip back to Long Beach from Yokosuka brings back fond memories.
