IRONMAN from 86-88 As a younsgter in deck division standing those bridge watches in the gulf escorting tankers and what not. I said "What the (bleep) did I get myself into, but thanks to BM1 Birch, he made standing those watches pretty entertaining. Once I struck out of deck division to NX Division under YN1 Carpenter's wing, it made my stay there one of the best times in the Navy I have ever had. I want to say thanks to those whom I've had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with.

I served aboard the USS Reeves between 1970 - 1971. I was a yeoman, ships diver & librarian. I was transferred from the USS Reeves by helicopter to Da Nang, South Vietnam and I was wondering if anyone remembers me being transferred from the fantail in I think it was sometime from September 9 - 16th 1971.
