I served on board the USS Reeves from 1978 - 1982. Once I got onboard I was asigned to the Deck Dept, and I stayed there for about 2 years. After that I switch over to the supply Dept and work there my last 2 years. I stayed Navy for 20 years after that, and I retired as a MAC(SW) after 24 years.

Gentlemen
I am searching for the final Commanding Officer of USS Kretchmer DER-329. James J. Mullen was the last CO before the Kretch was decommssioned. I understand he served aboard USS Reeves DLG-24, although I don't know what capacity he served as. CO or whatever? If you have any information concerning his whereabouts, I'd appreciate an email at kcox@tampabay.rr.com or 863-307-3187. We have located our final XO, Mr LeRoy and now looking for Capt. Mullen. Thanks for your time.

I Danilo D. Domingo was on board USS REEVES CG-24 on Oct 1982 thru May 1985. My first job, was a striker in 1st division as Boatswain Mate, then transfer in Supply Depatment as Mess Management Specialist MSSN, until I make rate, being in the USS REEVES was very memorable, my first ship and my last, I have fun being aboard the tin can, from chipping paint, helmsman, port and starboard watch, and touring WESPAC was the best accomplishment, and just being there at the moment, I even personalished my license plate as USSCG24 on my white Cherokee Sport, just to see if I can attract some of crew whose been there, and known about the ship, sure enough, Joseph L. Lepeak followed me to the post office, and recognize my plate number and smiling, as we shake hand, and remember how USS REEVES CG-24, and where was homeported during my year, homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.

I am a plank owner and left the ship in September of 1966. I was an ET(R)-2 when I left, and served with some of the greatest guys in or out of the navy. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who served aboard her during this time span. I regret missing the reunion, but I wasn't aware of this web site until Tom Lykens contacted me out of the blue yesterday.

DO YOU PLAN TO INSERT NAMES ON THE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN AT THE REUNION? MY EYESIGHT HAS GOTTEN WORSE THAN I EVER IMAGINED BECAUSE EVERYONE AT THE REUNION LOOKS OLDER THAN THEY DID IN THE 70S.
