I joined the Reeves at the Pre-Comm detail in Norfolk under the watchful eye of LCDR Jerry Horton. Then the commissioning when we all joined together, was the 1st Lt. -- on to GITMO -- and our home in Pearl. Off the Nam (I was then serving as the Navigator), NORTH SAR, our 59 days at sea, the PI and the trouble we all got in .... I'm still in touch with a number of guys from the Wardroom -- John Cardellina, Paul Lindoerfer, Steve Russ, Ed Hagan, Mike Hughes, Dave Pankow & Vince Roldan. A great ship, great memories .... May we all have fair winds and following seas!

I was on the tip of the sward from 85-87 and made the China trip also, I was disheartened to see pictures of the REEVES being used for Target practice by the Brits, what a sad ending to a great ship at least they should have had us (US) shooting at it, well send me an E mail. Going fishing

What's up guys? For those that don't remember me I was an FC on "Das Cruiser" from 85-87 FOX DIV, everyone called me Doc. First a heads up to all who keep this page alive and well, Great Job. Second I would like to say I have never been closer to any group of people than the men I consider brothers, the men of the USS REEVES. I miss you guys and I would like to let the guys from FOX DIV know that we had a reunion party this past Memorial Day in MI. It was "GREAT" and we are planning to do it again this coming July 4th 2004. We only had a small turnout this past year but hope to have more come this time. Those that attended this past year were myself, Rob Canning, Norm Alberding, Tony Munn and Scott Fansler. Like I said it was great, killer food, tasty refreshing beverages, tons of stories and laughter and a special guest "shot" from Capt Morgan himself. I have pictures if anyone might want them and I'm still looking for pictures from the olds days from and of the ship and addresses of guys from the DIV. Remember all are welcome, including family, no excuses not to come. We hope to do this party every year we can. More info on the party can be obtained from Sue Canning "Rob's wife" at rscanning@btc-bci.com She is the brains behind this little get together, love ya Sue. Well I'll close for now, I hope to hear and see you guys soon. take care and a heads up to Huggybear, what's up man. Later Doc
