OS on the War-hore 84-87. What a blast! Out in 87'College career changes. 14 years later back into the Navy. Now LT, Navy Nurse Corp back in Yokosuka. Not like old times. Remember- Earl Benik, Dean Marnel, Mo Elliott, Mike Ladislas, Mike Poreda, Bruce Katz, Ham, good buddy Marvin Sanchez, NC farm boy named Bland, Huggy Bear, Debiak, Chief Whitten, Crawley, Rainey (raindog), Robinson (also from GA), Frank Gorham who is also here in Yokosuka. Just ran into now OSCS Driscoll who never left Japan! I left the ship via helo when I got banged up during an un-rep with USNS Ponchatulla(sp). No other ship was like the Reeves. Wonder why? Work hard. Play harder probably. The time of our lives right boys!

The Reeves was my first ship. I served from 9/68 til decommissioning for overhaul in Bath, Maine in April of 69. The trip from Long Beach to Bath was terrific. I was in the IC gang.

Served on Reeves from 86-89, finest ship I've served on to date. Presently GMC serving at ATG, Norfolk. Looking for information on a large coin that was available right prior to Reeves Decom. If anyone has information on how to purchase one, please let me know.

Served as an ET3 onboard from 83 to 87 first as part of "the only cruiser in town" and then as one of the "ironmen". Best damn ship in the navy (then or now). many fine memories. shame to hear that she went down without a fight. would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.
