I served onboard the Reeves from August of 86 until October of 88. Made lots of great friends and a lot of memories. Enjoyed the trip to China since I won the trip to go to Peking. Currently an ETC stationed at SIMA Norfolk where I will finish out my career and retire sometime in 2005.

I served aboard the Reeves during early 1975 to Mid 1977. Missed the 75' WestPac only to "sit" in Subic Bay for 4 months - WORTH IT! Also went to Pusan Korea, Yokosuka Japan, etc. Remember Laurence Niddrie, ? Wilson, Jeff Blow & others. Pearl Harbor was a gas but Subic took the cake. Saw Capt. Dickman back in Norfolk, Va (home) during about 1980 or so. Great part of my life!

I served on the great USS REEVES from August 1970 until she got to Hawaii in 1971. I was a Shipfitter in R Div. That ship made a man out of me. I went on her when I was 17. Got to know a lot of you ship mates and we started our own Division called H Division. If you were in H Division I'm sure you recall all the good times we had. I wish I would have went back and seen the old girl before they put her to rest.

I served onboard REEVES from APR91 until decomm. as A-DIVO and then Missiles Officer. Best times I have ever had... I have fond memories of all the ENs, MMs, GMMs, and GMGs who kept me out of (or got me in) trouble with the CAPT Long.
I also remember LT Bill Harrison picking his cuticle with a the OOD compass on the bridge talking about the 4 girls that were waiting for him on the pier... ENS Lunardi - Ba Bow!
The LCDR Sears (CSO) who made sure we had fun on liberty... I'll continue this list later...

Thanks to those who maintain the web site. I drop in now and then to catch a glimpse of the best looking ship the Navy ever built. Great to see the names of so many '87-89 Ironmen in the deck log. Great crew - great ship. We can never go back, but we can always remember. Press on!
