Served her from 84' to 88'. Best time of my life. Best ship ever commissioned in the US Navy. Best men in the US Navy served her. Regards to all in EE01 and EE05 divisions folk as well as the entire Engineering Department. Capt. Smith was the best CO. Lt. CMDR Woolridge was the best Chief Engineer.

The new website looks great. I served on the Reeves from 7/76-12/79 in Fox Division. I survived West-Pac77 and the yard period that followed. I punched out before she left for Japan.I still stay in touch with a couple of the guys. It would be great to hear from more. I think a reunion would be great!

Served onboard as DCA/FCO/BCO from May 1989 to Sept 1992. Most memorable moment was getting bombed in the Indian Ocean in Oct 1989. Transferred to COMNAVCIVPAC in 1998 and living in Atlanta, GA.

I served on the Reeves from 07/75 until 01/77. Was part of 2nd Division. Shipmates were FTC Smith [Smitty], FTG3 Mike Couglin, FTGSN Steve Ywaskevic, FTG3 Gary Jurgens. GMG's were: Mitch McCoy, Larry Waters, Rick Owen, Bruce Wagner, Bobby Alred, Dave Marshall, Laurence Alquist. Made the Westpac '75. which included stops in Subic Bay, Mauritius Island, Mombasa, Port Colombo,Sri Lanka, Karachi, Pakistan and Yokosuka, Japan.

Served on her 83-86. Had a great crew and you all are still highly thought of and respected. Layed the foundation for a 20 year career. Interesting how the crew of the Capt George Chapell era that coined the IRON MEN phrase, made it stick so well. We were the best.
She will be greatly missed.
