April 76 - April 78, Worst two years of my life, but I am a better person for the experience. Best memory of her was when I flew over the ship as S-3A Crewman. When is the reunion?

Good to hear a reunion is being considered. Served on the Reeves from Sep 72 to Dec 73 as a RM2. Recently connected with Guy Migliaccio. Would like to hook up with other shipmates.

Hey guys - nice web site, you can check out the USS Richmond K Turner CG-20 site at www.rkturner.com.
Just wondering who can give me info on the Indian Ocean incident where a navy plane dropped a 500lb bomb on the USS Reeves. What happened? what damage, what was the outcome on the investigation?
This happened in 1989 ? Thanks for the help.
Tom Swart ETR3/IC2 USS Richmond K Turner CG-20 1972-1977.
USS Turner was sunk off the coast of Puerto Rico in 98 I think. She took one hell of a beating before she went down for the last time. Better than rusting at the pier I guess.

Plank owner as Weapons Officer in Reeves. Left in late '65 while in Subic to go to a much less desireable duty station. Finally retired in '74. Hope the Reunion comes about.
