I served from 89 to 92. After that I spent time with MSC running in to fellow Iron Men around the globe. Now I am in school studying film and hopefully try to make it out to LA to get eaten alive by the film industry. Any old shipmates out there drop me a line.

I reported to USS Reeves (DLG-24) Pre-commissioning crew in Bremerton, WA in mid-DEC 1963 as FTM2. Made my first WESTPAC deployment and saw the legendary Subic Bay/Olangapo and South China Sea/Dixie Station in 1965. I left Reeves in DEC 1965 as FTM1 and went to Mare Island for shore duty. Made FTMC at Mare Island in 1967 and Warrant in 1968. I retired from USS England (CG-22) in FEB 1983. Worked in AEGIS at RCA/GE 1983-1992. I live in Cherry Hill, NJ, near the AEGIS CSED Site. The Reeves was my last sea duty. What a great memory for me. I fondly look back on those days. It was over twenty years ago but seems like yesterday.

By golly, John White, you hinted at a new Reeves web site to me some time back and you pulled it off! Good job! I look forward to seeing this site build up with the history of our fine ship and 30 years of collective service by all of the dedicated crew that served on her.

USS REEVES was my first command after HT "C" school. I served on her for a very short time, JAN81-MAR82. A knee injury, then subsequent surgery cut my tour short.
I am still in the service with 22 years active service this FEB. 14, 2002.

After reading Mr. Arnolds, I have to say I feel the same way. I joined the Reserves and evertime I was in San Diego, or San fransico I looke for the Reeves, but alass it wasn't meant to be. After making chief I was aboard the USS Leahy (Reeves sister ship), and it was like being on the Reeves I was half expecting White or Mr. Arnold,Art Fotscky, Jeff Brinkmeir or any of the R Div. gang to come around the corners. I guess I spent more time reminiscing than working

I served onboard the USS Reeves as a BTCM from 1982 to 1985. She was my last sea tour before I retired. I would like to thank you for taking on the task of managing a website. Also my shipmate HTC George Ross who served onboard the same period is not doing so well. I think any e-mail would help cheer him up.
