hai, nice to find karaikal website. my name is nur laili. i was graduated from a college in my town malang, indonesia. i have india blood from my father and half from my mother. my father's name is mohammed abdul kadir. he was born in karaikal sout india on november 16, 1921. his father's name is mohamad ibrahim. my uncle lived in kamarajar salai karaikal. but my father mention the city karikal. my cousin and other relatives lives in nagore, chennai, pondicerry. my father moved to indonesia in 1948 to follow my grandpa and in 1948 he met my mother and they were married. my mother is mix india and indonesia. her father also come from karikal, his name is mohamad yusuf. my father learned french, arabic, and english when he was a boy in his hometown.he told me before, when he was a boy, a french flag was raised in karikal to celebrate france's independence day. now my cousin who was born in karikal has lived in france with his family since 1982. he got the visa. my father returned to india (karikal) in 1980 about 3 months. now he is 81 but he can't leave south indian food like briyani, mutton curry, prawn curry and others. in my family, only my father can speak tamil. i learned the alphabet before but i forgot it. i know more hindi than tamil from the films and books. my father still keep few tamil books, poems, dictionary. i never go to india. i wish i could go to india with my father to see his homeland, hometown but it needs much money. i am very happy to find the website.
