My father, Bob Ure, was a civillian employee at RAF Wethersfield from about 1958 until 1970. He worked mainly in the Cafeteria under his boss George Ansell & On sundays at the Bowling alley stand up food hall opposite 55th/77th barracks or at least thats what it said on the buildings as I remember. If any one is interested I would be happy to share any memories as he took me to work with him most saturdays & sundays. As a child I knew Wethersfield well. Fantastic web site, and some really memory jogging photos.

Served in the 819th from 80-83 best assignment ever. When not TDY which was rare drove the base basketball team all over the UK.I worked in the pavements & equipment shop if anybody remembers Boomer Cantu,Mike Christie,Craig Highsaw and others from the barracks. Cheers to all Horseman past and present.

Just updating my address....Hi everyone...my dad was stationed here in 85-87 he worked as a civil engineer. Im looking for a few people...Todd ?? I think his last name may have been Morrison or something, Im not sure...he was a GI...He moved to Austin, TX right after we moved back to the states.
