My wife, daughter and I met you prior to the performance on Saturday night after Easter (4/26). You directed us to the front of theatre from side parking lot and said "Cheer for the funny man" It only took a minute to realize what your were saying, by then you were gone. Thenardier has always been one of my favorite characters (but I love them all) Casually meeting you added to the evening and the trip for my family. The show was great. It makes me sad to know it is closing Sunday. Thought you would enjoy knowing we caught your hint and it enhanced our theatre experience that evening. See you someday on tour in New Orleans.

Hi Nick-- Just read your terrific article on Broadway.com (thanks Bonnie for the heads up.) You are in my thoughts during this intense transition... and, here's one for the road: "I mean, what exactly do you do?" "We do onstage the things that are supposed to happen off. Which is a kind of integrity, if you look on every exit being an entrance somewhere else." (Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead/Tom Stoppard) Please send my love to the girls, Tommy-Lommy and my fellow-gemini Beth. Love, Caren

Hi Nick, I just saw the show for the 27th time, and your performance, well, it gives me such chest pains. But that could also be the burger, fries and cheesecake I ate for dinner. Nevertheless, I can see you've studied with the great American comic actor, Fred Gwynne; bless him, his legacy should live forever. I also recently read your fine creative nonfiction of the "demise of Les Miz," and I want to thank you, nay, praise you for thoughtfully including a link to your acting class. You still have few of those legendary SAT points I'm guessing. Also, I want to thank you for including every headshot you've ever used in show business. You probably don't remember me, but I recall when you wore that dashing moustache which was so blond you used mascara on it. Ooops. Our secret, OK? But my God, those photos. An astute and trained pyschologist could probably trace a whole narrative of the quest for mental health in your changing expression. I hope with the next sitting you find it. Hi Nick, here a message from your "old aupair" "the dutchy!". Great artikel you send me about saying goodbye to "les mis". I saw the show twice as you know. The first time at my third day in New York, and the second time last summer with Mariska, and as you already kwow...I loved it! One of the things I learned living with you guys was getting to love musicals. Hopefully you will be seeing in another show soon! And who knowes, I will come over in a couple years to visit great New York again, and I will see you in another great show on broadway!! Much love to the rest of your family, and a big hug and kisses for Tommy... Marion
