I'm doing my family genealogy and am researching my mother-in-laws family. I've been trying to find her brother and his family. I understand that he was a prisoner of the Soviets in a mining camp in Siberia and I came across Brother Gene Thompson's recounting of Vyacheslav Palman's days in Kolyma.

Watching "The Long Way Round" starring Ewan McGregor & Charlie Boorman! Part of their journey was on the Road of Bones. They gave a brief history. I'm always intrigued by mans ability to hurt others.

I've always been interested in the dark parts of history, and while studying World War I history for an assignment for school, I remembered that my History teacher had asked me to find out the history behind the road of bones.
