My grandfather, and his parents, came from Marienberg to the US in 1907. He was a child of 5 years, and had one older brother, and several older sisters. My grandfather's name was Philip, son of Antonio & Catherine Herlein. All the information I have about their lives before 1907 comes from my grandfather's passport, which has been translated into English for me.

my grandfather, Philip Malcolm Diehl brought his family from Marienberg to Western Colorado. (Delta, Montrose) area. I understand other family members went to South America - possibly Argentina or Brazil. Hoping to find them. Thanks.

Our grandparents, Leo & Barbara Schmaltz, came to the USA around 1907. They settled in the Zuni mountains of New Mexico to farm and/or ranch. Their oldest child, Helen, was born in Marienburg. Their other 10 children were all born in the Zuni mountains or Gallup, NM.
