Thanks for the informative website - found it while searching on Streckerau, where my grandfather (Alex Reser)and grandmother (Anna Ball) emigrated from in 1906, first to Winnipeg then Chicago. Found your website inspiring!

My grandfather was born in Marienberg, Germany approx 1887. Traveled to the US arrived in Galveston Tx Mar 1913. I am looking for any info on the family who did not travel with him to America. His name was Oscar Gustav Teitz. He had only one child (my mother) before his early death in 1933. While I was researching I found your website. I must say I think it is wonderful. However, I don't think it is the place I am looking for. Great work I really enjoyed reading all of the research you have done.

My husband's grandparents were Jakob and Katherina Baier. It is truly an amazing story of how they came to America. I remember them well and how they would always have a toast when a new baby was born into the Baier family.
My husband and I have 5 children and my youngest is doing research on her ancestry, and this site has been a wonderful help.
