Hi Ray Mantilla What a small world. I was listening to Live365 Latin Jazz (Afro Cuban)on computer when I checked to see who was playing this music I just loved. It Was you, Ray Mantilla playing– Midnight Sun ,”Good Vibrations”. To my surprise I googled the name Ray Mantilla and found your fantastic Web site. I was so glad that you were still alive and playing. I am Isabella Livramento who was married to your friend , Joe Livramento who played woodwinds with Machito and Mario Bauza. Joe also played with many other Latin Jazz bands as you know. Joe passed away unexpedtedly October 23, 2005 at 83 and was still actively playing in Rhode Island and also in NYC. We were married 43 years. I remember you so well. Joe liked you very very much. We relocated to RI in 1990 but Joe remained playing in NYC on weekends at Roseland Ballroom with Raymond Arqueso. My daughter,Judee Who is 47 is still living in NYC. You are looking good and I think you site is “out of sight” Fantastico!! Keep on doing well. Love Isabella Livramento
