I know grug is from Austrailia so he wouldn't know what the hell he's talkin' about when it comes to L.A. I've known the Creeps from the start (1997) and not once have they mentioned "visual kei" They've been doing this image since 94-95 individually and only recently did they discover the new Japanese stuff. They certainly didn't "butcher" anything cuz in order to do that you have to be aware of what you're being accused of butchering. Am I not right?
