We also represent the band known as The NAPOLEON BLOWNAPARTS. The two have 1 thing in common. Ajax. Who is Ajax? well in case you do not know who he is yet Ajax is the owner and founder of The BigKidz comic company and he also a comic art hero as well as the singer of The Blownaparts band. So the reason I am emailing you guys is 1. the Fuck Off & Die song rules! Ajax and Co. would love it. the second reason I am contacting you is because I could not help but to noticed a distinct familiarity between Ajax's short lived self destructive glam punk band known as "Pain Killer" that featured Fly T. Hooker ( Glamour Punks), Bumper Renga, Shawn Vuas, and Ajax. The band existed between 1988 & 1990. Anyway Ajax wrote this song that became a cult favorite back then and later on went on to be on regular rotation as a mild short lived hit with his later band known as The Napoleon Blownaparts. The song is called "POPPIN' PILLS IN THE "PEPPERMINT" DOLL HOUSE". Please listen to it here: www.mp3.com/blownaparts it is the 3rd song down. That song spawned so many look alike bands that for some reason decided to name their bands after Ajax's song or use the key word Peppermint. I was wondering if you guys could share with me the origin of your name. I am trying to trace it back to Ajax's song and his band. Since the word Peppermint never came up at all until the song was written I think it will be easy to see exactly where it originated from. i.e. the word DOLLS, New York Dolls. As you know may bands have tried the word Dolls in their name since the New York Dolls. Anyway in 1988 or so a drummer by the name of Gipsy Razzle joined Pain Killer after Fly T. Hooker left to rejoin his Glamour Punks. Pain Killer was the first band to play Ajax's song Poppin' Pills In The Peppermint Doll House. Shortly after Gypsy left and started a band called Peppermint Doll House. Ajax and Pain Killer became un happy with the fact that so many acts were using his popular song's name for their own band name that Ajax decided to change the name of the song to Poppin Pills dropping the key words Peppermint. So after 1988-89 it was all over. allot of groups started dressing like the three big names on the strip back then, Pain Killer, Glamour Punks, and juicy Miss Lucy. All three bands members were also playing together like a glam rock orgy anyway ha ha. Many have called Ajax a key personality and a person who was partly responsible for the early 90's and late 80's, dangerous Hollywood glam punk scene. There are boot legs running around that feature Ajax on bass, Tyla from the Dogs on guitar, Andy McCoy on vox, and Billy G. Bang on drums, I am not to sure but I think this was a short lived band. None the less the tape is legendary. Anyway I would really like to get some words from you guys for this story I think it would very neat and make for a cool story. Talk to you soon.
