Conc. Family Web Site Questionnaire Dear family web site owner, The fairly recent advent of electronic family albums on the web presents an interesting new area of research in many respects. Our research group ‘Visual Culture & Communication’ (University of Antwerp) has a longstanding interest in family photography and family communications. Therefore we have developed an electronic questionnaire for people like yourself who are in the forefront of this new development. The questionnaire addresses questions such as: What do you see as the main benefits or drawbacks of operating a family web site?, What do you think is appropriate to put on the web? How do you deal with and feel about the largely unknown audience? How does the Internet technology allows you to do things you want to do, and what still needs to be desired? etc. It would be of great help if you would take the time to participate in this worldwide study. As a token of our appreciation, we will raffle off three high quality digital cameras among the first 300 persons who complete the questionnaire. Your web site address (and subsequently your email address) was randomly selected from the Google listing of Family web sites. No commercial goals are involved and the data is processed anonymously throughout the project. The results and the addresses will not be used for any other purpose than this research project which sole goal is to gain insight in this fascinating cultural phenomenon.
