Fellow Hawkwind fans, there is something VERY SPECIAL is happening! NIK TURNER’S SPACE RITUAL, featuring ex-members of Hawkwind (FROM THE EARLY 70’S) have got together to play some of the old songs we all know and love, performed in the traditional style! and will feature Xstacy Angel (dance). IN 1989 dAVE bROCK LINED HIS POCKETS BY STAGING THE STONEHENGE OR BUST TOUR. IVE STILL GOT THE T SHIRT, GREAT SENTIMENT! HOWEVER ON THE WAY TO HENGE THE GOING GOT TOUGH, MANY OF US GOT ARRESTED, SOME GOT BROKEN HEADS TRYING TO GET TO HENGE. WHAT DID bROCK DO? HE TOOK HAWKWIND TO GLASTONBURY, AND WHILE WE WHERE UNDER SIEGE FROM POLICE IN RIOT GEAR AND HELICOPTERS, (THEY DIDNT MIND WHO GOT BATTERED EITHER), bROCKS HAWKWIND SO I'M TOLD, PLAYED A BLINDING SET FOR THE TICKET BUYERS AT GLASTONBURY,( HOW MUCH MONEY, MONEY, MONEY DID HE MAKE ). THE NEXT DAY THOSE OF US WHO HADN'T BEEN ARRESTED WENT TO SALISBURY AND CHEERED AS PEOPLE WHERE RELESEASE AFTER APPEARING IN COURT. AFTERWARDS MANY MOVED ON TO GLASTONBURY ( BACK IN THE DAYS WHEN GATECRASHING WAS A FORMALITY ) ONLY TO BE PERSONALLY TOLD BY BROCK THAT THEY WERE TOO WASTED AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE TO PLAY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAD TAKEN THE TOUR ADVICE OF "STONEHENGE OR BUST" WHICH SHOULD HAVE READ "STONEHENGE OR GLASTONBURY, AS LONG AS I GET PLENTY OF MONEY AND NO HASSLE" OR "FUCK YOU I'M ALRIGHT". ONCE AGAIN MR b'S GOT HIS MONEY MONEY MONEY HEAD ON AS HE TAKES NIK AND CREW TO COURT TO STOP THEM GETTING A PIECE OF THE ACTION. BUT NIK WHAT DID YOU EXPECT FROM SUCH A SPINELESS BREADHEAD! IF YOU GO TO MR b'S HAWKFESTIVAL I'D CHECK TO MAKE SURE HE ISNT PLAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE INSTEAD JUST TO GET AN EXTRA TENNER! JIM HODGES. P.S. SOMETHING SMELLS LIKE SHIT!

Fellow Hawkfans A grim day in the history of Hawkwind dawns on us. Yes today Dave Brock takes Nik Turner to court to stop Nik using the name Xhawkwind. Nik can’t afford the fight so Dave with the power and money will probably win. It’s not just Nik who will loose out, the band includes many of the original line up including: Terry Ollis-Drums, Mick Slattery-Guitar, Thomas Crimble-Bass, plus others who have guested like Del Dettmar and Dik Mik. The fans will be the real ones to loose out, because they might not get that chance to see them play thanks to Dave’s power trip! A tour has been planned for later this year, so far Xhawkwind have played just a few gigs, which have gone really well. The crowds have enjoyed hearing the old songs being played in the 70’s style, that’s what put them on the map in the first place after all. Xhawkwind don’t play any of the songs Dave wrote because they don’t want to face any further legal action, but they can play the songs written by Bob Calvert and group compositions, which means they have still got a decent repertoire. Xhawkwind played at the Glastonbury festival, jamming some of the old songs and getting a great reception. hello. can anybody tell us the name of a band who supported hawkwind whose bassist was called TRISTAN CRAWLEY. we think he had a stage name though, but he had dreads. he is our media teacher & we want to know if it's true.... thanx
