I loaned my HTX-100 to a fellow ham
back in 1998. Somewhere along the line
we lost touch. Over the years it was
passed from one ham to another until it
found itself in my father's hands
(N2SG) several years ago. I am in
Florida visiting him for Thanksgiving
and he has given it back to me after
all these years....and across many
states! I can't wait to fire it up
when I get home! It was my first HF
radio when I got my Tech Plus ticket in
1991 and I had many hours of fun and
lots and lots of QSOs. That it's
survived this long is a testiment to
it's durability!

Hi all,
Great little radio!!! I noticed there is no mod to enable the radio to scan and find activity for you like the high end radios do. In order to help everyone out there with the same problem I have developed a HTX-100 scanning MOD. Details on http://www.CircuitDomain.com Please Check it out.
Regards
Mac

I did the frequncy expansion mod.... the radio certainly opened up to the frequency range desired. BUT, the RX and TX audio has terrible distortion between 27.355 and 27.655 MHZ, any ideas??? all other frequencies sound great. Tried adjusting the VCO and tat is not the problem. Im stumped

I was wondering if there was a method to turn off the RIT-control completely?
Do you have the photo update for the USB to LSB mod? MIC-MOD was a snap and works well. Tnx,73!

I believe the location on the MRF477 on the photo for the "Power Mod" for the HTX-100 is incorrect. I am currently repairing a defective rig that I bought. Also, on my board, the driver xstr is the 2SC1969. It is in the location where you show the MRF477 to be (both are TO-220's).
