glad to know that the society is running. I believe my ancestor's originated from the mackinlays of the "Annie" perthshire ,they appear to have followed CHARLES 1 with the Farquharsons down to the battle of WORCESTER ,and then remained in the west midlands of england namely warwickshire,ever since.

I knew a brief bit about my family origins, after the few times I have visited Scotland. However I found your website very informative, without too much detail.

I am trying to find my ancestors starting with my Great Grandfather Charles James Finley / Finley - the spelling has changed as regular as the weather in my family. He served in the Royal Navy as a stoker as sail gave way to steam on HMS Collosus. If there ia anyone within the clan that can help me, I would be very appreciative.
