I am the granddaughter of Grace Frame Finlayson, daughter of Alexander and Mary Cross. Born in Motherwell, Scotland, immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1865 at 6 months old. I see my niece, Suzie Null, has signed your guestbook. My grandma would take me to the Western Penna. Gathering of the Clans when I was a little girl.

My maternal grandfather was a MacCartney, born in the United States but only soon after the family moved from Scotland. The family always claimed to be part of the Farquarson clan and this claim was always a prominent feature of my early memories of family reunions. Although it was said that my great grandfather was a vaudevillian in Glasgow in his early days, it was also said that the family moved from around Aberdeen sometime in the 1870s or 1880s. I would be fascinated to know more.
