I am very pleased to of found such a huge bunch of my fellow Farquharsons, I've lead a very lonely existence since both my parents died in a tragic yachting accident when I was a wee youngster. It brings tears to my eyes to of found my fellow kinsman, I feel like I've found my family I hope to meet and hug you all very soon,

Looking for Andrew Farquharson who painted a scene that looks like Scotland, England or Wales around the 1870-1899 periods. My children's ancestors were the Farquharson Clan. My children are Finleys of the Finley family from Finley, TN. Their great aunt went to Scotland and met the clan and visited the family castle. I acquired this painting a few years ago from an elderly couple who told me that it had been done between 1870 - 1900. It was supposed to have been in the deceased President James K. Polk family home! If anyone knows anything , Please e-mail me! I would also love to receive as much information as possible on the Farquharson Clan, Castle and any Andrew Farquharson information. I have been informed just today that our Tays clan is a sept of faquharson. Had never known this, only able to trace background to somewhere near Dundee. Came to No.American through Nova Scotia. Am excited to learn more, and so sorry to have missed the Highland Games in Seattle just yesterday. Would love some information online to read or research, or books I might purchase or find.
