All five of the glasgow Farquharson's (Betty,Stuart,Iain,Gordon&Maureen, thoroughly enjoyed the weekend gathering.We also did a bit of research but unfortunately did not come up with any more relations. We would like to see the area around the Cairn tidied up and if possible something done to make the access a lot easier,perhaps also a sign at the roadside to indicate where the Cairn is.Thanks to all who organised the events

Thank you very much to everyone who supported the 2002 Clan Farquharson Gathering in Braemar last weekend. It was a very enjoyable weekend. We have set the date for the 2003 Gathering as 14-17 August 2003. On Thursday 14.8.02 our Clan Chief will be the Chieftain of the Ballater Highland Games, at which we hope to have a tent. We have made a provisional booking with the Fife Arms and as soon as a price is set we shall advertise it on this Guestbook. You cannot book accommodation there just yet. ALAN CAIG, PRESIDENT

My grandfather's name was John Farquhar. His wife was Sarah Jane Coates. He died serving UK in World War I. Subsequently Sarah Jane migrated to the U.S.in 1918 with her three children. One of her daughters Olive was my mother
