Just found your site looks great.Lots of info on Dixon surname.I am looking for my grandmother, Isabella Dixon born in 1890 at Shildon Durham. Father Thomas Dixon and mother Margaret Ann Besford. Isabella married Robert Hogg September 5,1908 at District of Morpeth County of Northumberland. Sure would like to hear from anyone having info. Thank You for the wonderful site.

Very nice site. I was just woundering if you or anyone else knew that the Keiths and later decendents the Dickson came from Germany. We were all called the Catti before we were called the Keiths and so on, and so on. Our history goes back a very long ways. We faught the Romans in our home land in europe before coming to Scotland, England and Ireland. I have aquired a little INFO from other Web sites. If you wish, I can send it to you or even post it.

Jerry is the Grandson of a Nettie Annie Dixon who was the daughter of a James Randolph Dixon and Nettie James. They were married in Winnsboro, LA. We know only from census records that James was supposed to have been born in LA, and his father in Miss., & mother in LA. We are hoping to one day find our mystery. They both died shortly after the daughters birth or before 1900 more than likely. There were supposed to have been 3 children, Frank Miles, Mildred Priscilla, & Nettie who was born about 1893 and was 6 years old in the 1900 census in Franklin Parish, LA. Any information would be appreciated. We are going into your information now. We did enjoy reading your beginning about a name. It is neat to think of family such as the movie "braveheart" which we so enjoyed.

Would love to here from you. I have a Mary Elizabeth Dixon born 1846 in Springfield Rosscommon County Ireland. Her parents were a Thomas and Bridget Dixon. Thomas was born 1800ish and Bbridget I believe 1820ish. They moved to Canada when Mary was 3.

What a wonderful sight. I'm the daughter of Gerry Leon Dixon. I'm trying to find his whereabouts, and learn more about the family. His father Carl Dixon past away 14 years ago, and I have been unable to get any new information.
