I have an envelope with a photo of a co-worker’s child sitting on Santa’s lap from last Christmas when he was three. It is the only photo she was able to salvage as her home is in Lakeview, on Memphis Street. We are making copies for her.She had a three-story home, and the top two floors are perfect. They are calling in a structural engineer to make sure the bottom floor will hold the top two. Her Mother lived two doors from her. One of the attorneys I work with and his wife also lost their home in Lakeview. I met you at Audubon Zoo shortly before Katrina. Roxanne is the sister of my niece by marriage, Becky. Her husband David is my nephew and David has gone to your Dad’s house in the past on a number of occasions to help him out. I met your Dad at Roxanne’s Mom’s funeral. I have numerous slide shows that have made the rounds here of downtown New Orleans, St. Bernard, Lakeview. St. Dominic’s on Harrison Avenue., you know the statue that is out in the front of St. Dominic’s? Parlay’s , Liuzza’s Schoen’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony of Padua on Canal so many recognizable spots we grew up around. These slideshows are very touching and I don’t think there has been anything on t.v. that shows these neighborhoods and landmarks. If you are interested in seeing them, have Holly E mail one of us, and I will get them through to you. Just ask whomever E mail’s me to put Holly’s or your name into the subject matter as I don’t open strange E mails. I thought of you just now when I was looking at this envelope and hoping that you were able to salvage something that belonged to your Mom. No one quite understands the heartbreak that goes along with this kind of destruction. May God bless your lovely Dad and keep him safe. I do think about him and your house in Lakeview when my two co-workers speak about their homes. My heart just breaks for you. I know how hard it has been especially on older people who have lost so much. I will keep your Dad in my prayers, Debbie Calongne

I have not watched Y&R since about 1990 when I swore off soap operas, but I have fallen off the wagon. My mother has me re-addicted and it's because of you. We both think you're a doll. (Mom might be older, but she's not blind.)You remind me of a guy from my old neighborhood. He was about 21 and married with a baby and I was 12 and sheesh, did I have a crush on him. You make me wish I was single and in your sights. Oooo. I haven't written anything like that since I was a teenager. Gross. Sorry! I think this feeling I have is giddiness. Hmm. I think I've been married too long. :o)

Hi Christian, I must admit I am NOT a fan of the show :-( (Okay, I started watching it several weeks ago (there!!) :-) ). I am writing in hope that you MIGHT read this - I will be going home (Australia) for xmas and was wondering (and hoping) if you could possibly spare a minute (or maybe two) to send a personal greeting to my mother (YES, she is a big fan of yours!
