Some of my family lived in Brookfield prior to the early 1950s. My grandfather's name was Harold B. Rollins. He was a Brookfield resident and apparently was killed in a tree fall accident in the 1930s. I am trying to trace this record and Rollins' family history.

I lived in Brookfield for 3 years as a child, in the mid 70's. My parents owned the Rainbow Tavern at the time. What I remember most is how beautiful the town was, hiking, camping, fishing and of course the Madison County Fair! I am going to be vacationing back east next year and I am really going to try to make a side trip back to Brookfield. I did not live there for long, but it was long enough to leave a lifelong impression on me.
