Got here via Machine Builders Network. Have grandfather and grandmother burried there in Branchville. Grandfather [John Roosa] was [I believe] a Pastor there. Methodist, I think. Have not been there in years but was a very neat country place last I was there. Bruce

As a resident and parent of young children, I'm becoming increasingly
concerned about the abuse of the annex school grounds. I live directly
behind the school's parking lot, so I get to witness the goings on
pretty much on a daiy basis. Teens gather there in fairly large
numbers,
blaring obscene rap music on their boom boxes, and cursing at the top
of
their lungs for all the residents in the area to hear. When they
finally leave, the evidence of their visit is obvious in the form of
empty
bottles, snack wrappers, cigarette boxes, and assorted other litter. I
realize the school grounds are open to public use and that it's
difficult to control the manner in which people conduct themselves.
However,
I believe it's a situation that we need to address as a town because it
really is getting out of control. In addition to what's going on at
the annex, I'm also seeing a lot of problems with kids on skateboards
in
the middle of roadways and on the town tennis courts (which
badly damages the court's surface). I grew up in Frankford Township
and moved back to the area with a true conviction that it's a wonderful
place to raise a family. But recently that conviction hasn't been so
strong.
