Hi, I'm contacting you because Pipe Major Bob Dickie was my great uncle. I had the pleasure of meeting him on his visit to Scotland which I believe the band members paid for and for which he was very grateful. Bobs relatives back home were all famous fiddlers one of whom was J.F.Dickie who was immortalised by Scott Skinner by writing the tune "JF Dickie". I myself am a fiddler and my one regret was not learning to play the pipes !
