New marching band starting - the award-winning Chesham All Girls Band is branching out into Berkhamsted by forming a new group. This group is open to girls aged from 9 to 21 years. No musical experience is necessary. Our first meeting is on Tuesday 1st April and then every Tuesday following from 7pm to 8.30pm at the Berkhamsted Youth Centre (near the Leisure Centre). I spent two weeks in the town of my birth during May. It was the first time since I left over 50 years ago. I normally live in Australia [ Newborough Victoria] but my mother-in-law is ill and as she and my wife are Americans then we are here for a time. I enjoyed all that I saw and will return much sooner than 50 years. I was born at 61 Castle Street, My Father was the RSM of the cadets from 1946 -1950. My Sister Lives in Westfield Road currently.
