I really enjoyed your site! it's so neat and so true to this great breed! I saw your genetic disorders page and want to add something - Huskies are one of two breeds that are commonly afflicted with "hemoratic gastro endoritis", it's a life-threatening, very fast occuring disease that I nearly lost my gorgeous husky to last summer. If the husky starts drinking a lot, vomiting, and their eyes become bloodshot, those are signs to bring her to the vet. We would have lost our girl if we hadn't been paying attention to her change in mood and health... it's a little known disease that I want all husky owners to know about. Cheers.

What a wonderful web site you have! I'm away from home on business and had some time to spend so did a little searching on how the Iditarod was doing and then some other searching. We have our second Husky, Kanook, which looks very much like your Gambit. Kanuck was our first and lived with us for over 13 years. After a few years being fur free, we wanted another and adopted Kanook. He loves to go on hikes with me in the local forests and hiking trails and visiting other dogs at the local dog parks. He does pretty good off leash as long as there are no distractions. When we are not able to go hiking, he gets excersize by pulling me around on my bicycle. Best regards to you and the dogs!
