I have not yet seen people talk about the ORIGNAL tablets and we must take at face value. These are published in: Cataloge of the Babylonian Tablets in the British Museum, Vol. VI Tablets from Sippar 1, 1986 erle Leichty, Vol VI Tablets from Sippar 2, 1987, erle Leichty and A. K. Grayson, Vol VIII Tablets from Sippar 3, 1988, Erle Leichty, J.J. Finkelstein and C.B.F. Walker. The number of these tablets are: BM 58872 BM 65720 BM 75322 BM 75106 BM 61325 BM 75489 BM 75214 BM 74951 These tablets suggest that: 1. Amel-Marduk started to reign one or two months before Nebucadnezzer died and continued ro reign 5 months longer than many suggests. 2. Nergal-shar-usur reign a month longer than some suggest. And two or three months of Labashi Marduk in the same year create problems because the first tablet of Nabonaid is date to day 18, month 3, accession year. And this is taken form the tablet BM 75214. So, Nabonaid reigned two months longer than many suggest. So these tablets does go against tablets that were copied. And one copied manuscript is VAT 4956!! So, when you have origanial manuscripts that go against other copied manuscripts, then you have serious problems. So, I hope someone can put all the pieces together and make sense with it. More is yet to come in the future.

Its alright saying "they do or don't harmonize with the bible" Remember also that in EVERY aspect the Bible has harmonized with secular history, people and places etc. It is strange that on this one subject of 607/587 date there seems to be no harmony. If the Bible is right that it must match up with secular history as it has done on EVERY other occassion. But here it seems secular history is being forced to match a supposed scriptural reference. Yet it is far easier to see that the scriptural references fit the secular view as they have done in EVERY other case where history and Bible meet.
