I took a tour thru the 567th SMS site 6 two years ago and found it to be very interesting. I was in the US Air Force Security Service from 59-63 but never worked around the SMS program. I'm planning to build the site 6 on my model railroad as the Old Great Northern r4ailroad ran thru Bluestem Washington only 2 or so miles from site 6. I've looked at a lot of info and photos of the Atlas E's and I'm about ready to start my construction of site 6. All you guys did a great job for the Air Force and our country. A/1c Larry C. Lenz

My father, Frank R. Cloyd, served with the 567 SMS. I found him on the roster for crew S-30 with Robert Wendt, Sidney Watts, Carl Guckenberger and Robert Stocking.
I am really trying to nail down my father's service so that we have a record. And I thought I'd try to find some of the people he knew, I think he'd like to say hello.
I am also interested because I was born on Fairchild AFB while Dad was serving, so it's very much part of me!

i was stationed at fairchild in 1960 right as the missle assembly bldg was finished. i was an equipment cooling spec. they had some silos at that time, but there were not any missles to put in them. it was very intresting to read about some of the things that transpired after i was discharged. when i was first there, no one on base was aware of the 567th. our comander was at a party and some one asked him "where is the 567th" the next day we all were wearing red hard hats. i lost all of my uniforms jn a house fire in 1962. i would be intrested to obtain one of the ICBM missle badges from that time era if anyone knows how i would go about it.

TSgt. retired from the 141 SPS at Fairchild. Fellow troop Jim Arnold was a young cop in the 60s at FAFB and mentioned Deep Creek.
