I shipped over with the 31st Engineers on the General Mann in March 1968. We landed in Vung Tau and then moved on to Xuan Loc with the Blackhorse. Spent about two months at Xuan Loc and was transferred to C Company 36th Eng. at Vung Tau. Spec 5 Crane Operator. Worked on hanging the steel for the fuel depot tanks at Vung Tau, then boated down to Vinh Long. Worked the the gravel barges until C Company moved to the field along side Ql4. Worked the bridges on the highway, driving pile, hanging steel. Departed Nam April 1969. Spent 9 months at Fort Carson, Colorado before I got out.
