Transferred in from 616th AC&W Squadron, Ulm/Donau on 3-11-59. Assigned as pay clerk. Transferred out in Operation Red-Ball 9-10-59 to 7518th Comm Squadron, RAF Alconbury, England. I am looking for contact with guys I knew such as Mr Ratcliffe, Lt Dunlap, Dick Underwood, Ray Pena, Dick Mascis, and any others. Need to know who 1st Sgt was. I had a good new camera and took a bunch of pictures, but I wasn't there long and am having trouble putting names with faces. Help!

I was stationed at the Kuppe from Feb 1960 - March 1962. Still remember the winter of '61, and the snow covering the fences, and putting beer to cool in the snow bank from my second floor room window.

This is an email address update. Since first signing in (page 42) I have been in contact with a few Wietzenbruch/Celle (OL #6)vets from 1959-1962. Amazing how memories awaken from mention of a long-forgotten event. I get back to Celle every 3-4 years. Thanks to those who maintain this great web page.

When I reflex back on the Wasserkuppe most people might think it was a bad duty station, but it was the best and greatest memories. I was stationed there from October 1968 to Sept. 1971 and loved a minute of it my wife Margaret was there with me. I formed some great friendships from there: Lonnie Simon, Frank magee who I still see I would like to hear from Wilbur Carey who I thank stayed there. I remember Toy, Sgt King and Gabbert, Col Kleber, Lou Daigle and his wife Chris. I would like to hear from anyone from the Kuppe.
