My ex-husband (Kevin Fried) was in the 601st from 87-88. I had such a great time when I was there. I've been to a couple of websites and am just amazed at all of the pictures out there. It brings back such great memories! If anyone knows of other PAS sites, let me know. I hope I hear from some of the great people I met. I'm especially looking for Keith Minder and Rich Harper (I still have the original recipe for that drink "The Boinger" you guys made up before I left. I hope everyone is well!!

Not much detail in here about the 407L folks... dang! I was Power Pro Stationed in Germany 1972-1974 @ Det. 26 sited on 'Losberg' = "Hill 459" (Located approx. 49-40-19 N. by 11-57-28 E.) overlooking the South East end of the Graf. Range... Used to be called SPARKPLUG or WHODAT but not sure... only remeber the MORPHA call... "MORPHA MORPHA THIS IS XXXX (??)...oh dear :O) On a clear day one could see the USSR missle batteries on the Czech. border. This site ran daily mission exercises. No prime power to site during this time period, so we generated our own 400Hz power... burned a LOT of JP-4... Garrisoned with 7th Army '72-'74 at Grafenwohr Post. BAQ next to Medivac and across from the 'Polish Guard'and K-9 contingent. some were certainly 'characters'! Stationed with likes of (but not limited to..even more brain porosity is setting in...) 'Moose' Povolish (Vehicle Maint), 'Wild Bill' Henson (Ops), Steve Deal (RADAR Maint), Rich Palmer (Ops), Bill Forest (TTY Maint), "Capt. Fairbrother" (WEAP), Dave Keech(PPro), Tom Collins (Radio Maint.?) "Capt Davis" (SEC), Stanley Clevenger (RADAR Maint), Donnely (supply), 'SMS Webb'(1st Sgt),Mike Black, Marshal Zimny (Ops) and a whole list of other Bad Actors that thrilled and 'terrorized' the Graf Post and much of the German countryside during that era, especially some of the entertainment and drinking establishements... Kaltenbrunn had the best brochen and sliced wurst... thanks Bill!
