I was stationed on the Hill when I was a kid - 616 AC&W from 1968 - 1971 Radar Maintenance. The Wasserkuppe has many memories for me. There is a SailPlane WEB site with WEB Camera views of the Kuppe > http://www.segelflugschule-wasserkuppe.de/index2.html - one camera of the Kuppe from Ebersberg and one camera facing east off the main road and parking. At present the Kuppe is socked in with fog and mist. Cheers to all.

I enjoyed the guestbook and the web site very much .I served at Rothwesten from May 57 to July 59 .I was assigned as a weapons controller at Gunpost and later, later as an instructor for the MSQ-1A school there. I was also Air Police officer as an additional duty .My wife and I went back for a visit in 2001 for the first time in 42 years .It was great to get a tour of the base now occupied by the German army and see the surrounding areas .

I was stationed at Wasserkuppe A.S from October 1977 until it closed December of 1978, then I went to Zweibrucken. At Wasserkuppe I worked with a civilian Herr Gross in the Wire Maintenance section. At Zweibrucken I worked in the inside plant telephone exchange. I remember good friends from both bases Glenn White, Ernie Hollister, Mike Scaggio, Mike Collins(Space Angel), Carl Dolby, Gary Stirk, Garnett Beadle, Brad Spencer, Chris Wagner,Dale Marks.
