I will never forget waking up on school mornings and my mom having the radio on WELC. I remember trying to answer the "question of the morning" for a free pass to the Pocahontas theater. That was a long time ago and they are good memories.
I remember also waiting at the bus stop there in Jr Poca at the S&M market on those cold winter mornings. It seems like it was yesterday.

I spent the happiest times of my teenage years in McDowell County attending Big Creek and Iaeger High Schools. I will never forget dancing barefoot on Bartley Mountain in the moonlight all those years ago.....

I will always remember 'catching' the bus with Olene Swims, Sue Horton, Dora Justice and a few others and a very specil fella that I will not name but he will know I'm talking about if he reads this. WV is still a big part of my life and I get so homesick sometimes. But, due to health reasons, I guess after our visit this year, it will be the last time I will journey down there. I love the people and I love the beautiful mountains.
