Thanks for posting the Marvel family history. It is great. I descend from
Prettyman Marvel 29Jan1763 and Lavina Rogers, thru their daughter Comfort who married John Barr. Thence thru John Barr and Comfort Marvel, by their daughter Elizabeth Barr who married Gustavus Michaels.
I get a headache everytime I try and put some order into the Marvel, Prettyman and associated surnames. We are trying to search down the ancestry of John Rogers who married Comfort Prettyman. Will send on any info we find, if you would like.

I am the exwife of Harry E Stephens, son of Ellen Belle Rogers and Claud E. Stephens and grandson of Pearl Fenton Rogers Carmickle and George Rogers (Marvel). Just wanted to say I met Pearl in 1961 and she was one of the kindest and wisest people I have ever known. I loved her very much. Thanks for the site so our children can know more about their roots.
