I was just messin' around on the net when I happened to type my dad's name (Bryon Murray) into a search engine, and came up with this site which included my name, my father's name, and my two brothers zach and christian (cody)'s names. Nice to know these things...I never really knew about my dad's side of the family, and I guess I know a lot more than before now.

My grandfather was adopted. My father was born near Ticonderoga, New York. The records hall burned and I have been unable to trace further. I read all Dickinson sites in hopes of getting an inkling.

I came across your website today on the Stiefel/Boots family. I am a 5th great granddaughter of Hans Adam Stiefel. My great great grandmother was Lucy Boots who married Charles Orvis. Lucy's parents were: Nelson Riley Boots and Rhodilla Sailor, Nelson's parents were: Martin Boots and Nancy Norman, Martins parents were: Hans Stiefel and Barbary or Barbara?, and I have Hans parents names as: Jerg Steifel and Ursula Theess. I have been working on the Boots family history with a second cousin of mine, I also found her on a web message board site. Wow! I searched Google on my own name on a whim, and look what I found! The bulk of my Boots' family still lives in western Pennsylvania. It seems likely to me that at some distant point we're probably related. Anyhow, thought I'd sign the book, and let you know that Bootses are still hanging around... By the way, our website is a joke (slightly off-color) about our homebrewing efforts - we make some tasty beer out here in Portland!
