Gunner then crewchief -- 67-68-69-- Mostly with Det 7 -- went everywhere - did everything - Harris' magic tours --Seal insertions to Cambodia - tunnel blowing - Lost Cone -Lost Wobie - Lost Savage - Think I must have lost my mind to - because except for one more name -- Lt. Foley -- I have no memory of anyone --faces or names -- that I was with --even when I see the rare picture of me standing right there with some guys --I don't know who they are -- yet "things" that went on --callsigns - operations - crashes - firefights etc -seem to be etched all to clearly in my memory --My nick during those days was "Stretch" 6 foot five and about 180 pounds -- I hate to insult all the fine people that I know must have been my buds -my helpers -my teachers and my crewmates --but I draw a blank --got a few pictures I can scan and send/post to wherever anyone who requests wants --but I don't know anyone in them - even though I must have taken some of those pictures for a reason --- Rick --
PS sorry I don't have much to contribute -but I did get a powerful memory tug when I stumbled across this page -- Thanx for that anyway ---

Admiral Kevin DeLaney addressed the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot's Association, Florida Chapter last month. After his address they presented him with a page from my logbook showing his first flight in Vietnam.
