Had the best friends I have ever had
in life while in HAL-3. Great bunch of
hard working professionals. The likes
of which is hard to find these days.

Great web site. I am always looking for seawolves and learning new information about my old shipmates. I was at Dong Tam as door gunner from 1968-1969. I was gunner my crew chief was Vinnie Paone. I was there in the bird when Dong Tam got hit and Ltjg. Suhr was killed. Memories etched deep into my mind. Do you remember me? I am fuzzy on names at this stage of my life. I am glad to see so many seawolves still are out there and active in trying to keep in touch. Thanks for the web site.

The wolf lives!!! HCS-4 Red Wolves are the proud bearers of the embelem caried over through the years from HAL-3 to HAL-4 to HCS-4. I have been a crew chief door gunner in HCS-4 for over 10 years. Thanks for all of the tactics and knowledge and lessons learned you created and passed on to this generation of wolves. The wolf still caries the trident and shield with a spade that you created. Fair winds and following seas. You are true heros to all of us younger gunners.

On Sept.15 1970 near V.C. lake I was a crewchief aboard a Dustoff helo with 4 seawolves as cover. We extracted 4 members from the lake and went in to get members from a downed helo in a rice paddy. We got 2 alive, would like to here from anyone who got out that day,or anyone who knows anything about that day.
